What is Employee Turnover?

Employee turnover is the rate at which employees leave an organization during a specific period. It measures how often employees leave the company and are replaced by new hires. Calculation Method

Turnover Rate = (Employees Left ÷ Average Employees) × 100

Average employees is calculated as (Starting Employees + Ending Employees) ÷ 2. For periods less than 12 months, the turnover rate is annualized to provide a more accurate yearly projection.
